Myrle E. Rose
Myrle Elizabeth Rose, 87, died in her Harbor home on Thursday,April 12, 1990. Born June 23, 1902 in Cove, Minn., Mrs. Rose wasmarried Sept. 1, 1929. She moved to the Brookings area in 1978. She waspreceded in death by her husband and one son.
Survivors include a son, A.C. "Bill" Yoachum of Harbor, a daughter,Phyllis Broady of Harbor, and a brother Harry Terwilligar of Prineville,Ore.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
No funeral or memorial services were held at her request. Cremationtook place at Litty Crematorium. Arrangements were handled by LittyFuneral Directors Brookings Funeral Home.

Merle Rose
Merle Rose, a long time Lovelock resident, died on Thursday, April12 in Harbor City, Oregon where she had made her home for the pastseveral years. She was born on June 23, 1902 and was 87 years of age atthe time of her passing. She had been in ill health for several monthsafter breaking her hip. Mrs. Rose had been a member of Ruth ChapterNo. 11 of Eastern Star since 1944 and was past grand matron of theLovelock lodge. While the family lived in Lovelock they owned a ranch inupper valley which is currently owned by the David Haas family.
Adam Rose, husband of the deceased, served as Sheriff of PershingCounty for a number of years. He preceded her in death in 1974. She wasalso preceded in death by a step son, Paul Rose, who died in 1965.Survivors include a son, Bill Yockum of Harbor City; a daughter, PhyllisRose Broady of Harbor City; grandsons Glen Rose of Lovelock and ShaneBroady of Oregon; grand-daughters Maxine Groso of Wellington, Nev. andShawna Broady of Oregon. Five Great grandchildren also survive.Cremation took place in Oregon and no funeral service is being held.

Merle Rose Memorial
A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 2 P.m. on september24 for Merle Rose. The services and interment will take place at thefamily plot of the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Lovelock. Mrs. Rose diedin Harbor City, Oregon on April 12, 1990. She was a longtime Lovelockresident and had lived in Oregon near her family for the past severalyears. She was born on June 23, 1902 and was 87 years of age at the timeof her death. She was a member of Ruth chapter No. 11 of Eastern Starand had served as Grand matron of the Lovelock Lodge.
Merle was preceded in death by her husband, Adam in 1974 and by astep-son, Paul in 1965.

Myrle Rose Memorial
A Memorial Service was held for Myrle Rose at Lone MountainCemetery on September 24, 1990. Many of Myrle's family and friendsattended the memorial which was officiated by her grandson Reverend ShaneBroady with a touching poem and picture read by Shawna Broady. ABuffet was hosted by Glenn and Virginia Rose at their home after thememorial.
