Obituary from Marilyn:
Bernice Opal Witte Dominy passed away peacefully on Feb. 20, 2003. Bernice was born August 25, 1918 in Fort Wayne, IN where she spent most of her life. She had been a victim of Alzheimer’s since 1993.  At the time of her death, she was living with her only child Larry Thurman Dominy and his wife Marilyn Costanza Dominy in Moab Utah.
 
The seventh of eight children born to Fred & Lulu (Van Allen) Witte.  Her parents and siblings preceded her in death. Bertha Lula (Harry) Gorell, Fred Henry (Belvia McDonnell), Edna (Ned) Parker Puff, Ethel (Claude) Getty, Helen (Max) Witzigreuter, Albert Ralph, & Wayne Allen (Rita VonHarre).
 
She met her husband of 54 years Thurman Darrell Dominy at a dance and they were married July 1, 1939.  They traveled to the New York World’s Fair on their honeymoon.  Traveling, dancing, playing cards, and time spent with family and friends were hobbies they enjoyed through out their life together.  Thurman passed away Sept. 4, 1993.
 
 In the year 2000, Bernice moved out of Fort Wayne and into the home of her son & daughter-in-law in Seymour, TN.
 
Bernice is survived by her son Larry (Marilyn) Dominy of Moab Utah.  Her grandson Robert Edward Dominy (Carol Thompson) of Danville, CA, her granddaughter Michele Marie (Wing) Wong and their mother Eva Dayton Ruffin along with her great grandchildren Alexander Daniel Wong & Katherine Renee Wong all of Knoxville, TN. 
 
In place of flowers, you may donate to the Cure for Alzheimer’s or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.   Service will be Wednesday February 26, 2003 at 2 pm.  Lindonwood Cemetery Chapel  Fort Wayne, IN
