Pearl relates that there are no records among her mother's papers, burthat her schooling was limited, not having started until she was nineyears old. She wrote a cousin in the State of Washington to see if hermother's brother's family had any records, but her cousin stated that allsuch papers and Bible records were destroyed by a fire in 1900.
