Margaret received her elementary schooling at Amlin, Ohio, graduatingfrom Hilliards, Ohio. After graduating she got a position as clerk in theoffice of the Bureau of Rivers and Harbors of the United States,Columbus, Ohio, a position she held for a number of years. She resignedher position, so she could accept one near her home, she being offeredthe position as Clerk- Treasurer of the Board of Education of the NorwichLocal School District, which she accepted and still holds.
