Stephen Bull married Elizabeth Brewer, his second cousin. Their commongreat grandfather was Josiah Bull Sr. Stephens' grandfather (throughAmos Bull/Martha Cunningham) was Josiah Bull Jr, brother to George Bull,the grandfather to Elizabeth through Ruth Bull/Henry Brewer.

Stephen and Elizabeth moved to Elgin Couty in 1869. Elizabeth's mother,Ruth Bull Brewer, came to live with them and died 30 December 1870, andwas buried in Elgin Co.
