John Bull, born November 21, 1777 in Dutchess Co. New York, was one ofsixteen children born to Josiah Bull Jr. and Mehitable Thomas Heimmigrated to Canada in 1802. He married Mary Palen, daughter of EzekielPalen of Adolphustown in 1803, and afterward moved to Bloomfield, PrinceEdward County, Ontario. He bought several hundred acres of land, andbecame a prominent farmer. At least three of his children were born inBloomfield: Sarah, Cory and John, the latter being born in 1815.
He spent his life in Bloomfield, where he finally died January 1859 atthe age of 80.
