According to the book "Historical Sketches of Prince Edward County", byDr. W.K. Burr, Edward was a descendent of "Henry Bull, an ancestor, wasborn in South Wales in 1610. He came to Boston in 1635 and settled inRhode Island, where he became second Governor of the Colony."

According to Mary Young's book "The Descendents of Josiah Bull Jr., theancestry line is traced back through Edward Bull of Donnington, England.

ABSTRACT OF EDWARD BULL's WILL:

Donnington, Co., Gloucester
2n April 1679

My body to be buried at discretion of my executore
I give the house wherein I now live with lands and belongings to mykinsman
Anthony Gisborne of Longhborough, Co. Gloucester, yoeman. For term ofyears
upon trust for my wife Elizabeth to have rents and profits thereof for s'd
term and after to --- John Bull my eldest son to take said rents, etc. for
remainder of said term.
My son John Bull in consideration of this bequest shall pay unto my 2younger
sons Isaac and Jacob the sum of L/9 each and another L/9 at end of 6 years
after the death of my said wife.
I give the use of all my household goods with stock and cattle to my wife
Elizabeth Bull during her life and after her decease I give the same to my
daughter, Mary Bull.
Sole Executor, my Kinsman, Anthony Gisborne. Overseers my brother Thomas
Castell and Kinsman John Gisborne
