    Myrle E. Rose
        Myrle Elizabeth Rose, 87, died in her Harbor home on Thursday, April 12, 1990. Born June 23, 1902 in Cove, Minn., Mrs. Rose was married Sept. 1, 1929. She moved to the Brookings area in 1978. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son.
        Survivors include a son, A.C. "Bill" Yoachum of Harbor, a daughter, Phyllis Broady of Harbor, and a brother Harry Terwilligar of Prineville, Ore.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
        No funeral or memorial services were held at her request. Cremation took place at Litty Crematorium. Arrangements were handled by Litty Funeral Directors Brookings Funeral Home.

    Merle Rose
        Merle Rose, a long time Lovelock resident, died on Thursday, April 12 in Harbor City, Oregon where she had made her home for the past several years. She was born on June 23, 1902 and was 87 years of age at the time of her passing. She had been in ill health for several months after breaking her hip. Mrs. Rose had been a member of Ruth Chapter No. 11 of Eastern Star since 1944 and was past grand matron of the Lovelock lodge. While the family lived in Lovelock they owned a ranch in upper valley which is currently owned by the David Haas family.
        Adam Rose, husband of the deceased, served as Sheriff of Pershing County for a number of years. He preceded her in death in 1974. She was also preceded in death by a step son, Paul Rose, who died in 1965. Survivors include a son, Bill Yockum of Harbor City; a daughter, Phyllis Rose Broady of Harbor City; grandsons Glen Rose of Lovelock and Shane Broady of Oregon; grand-daughters Maxine Groso of Wellington, Nev. and Shawna Broady of Oregon. Five Great grandchildren also survive. Cremation took place in Oregon and no funeral service is being held.

    Merle Rose Memorial
        A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 2 P.m. on september 24 for Merle Rose. The services and interment will take place at the family plot of the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Lovelock. Mrs. Rose died in Harbor City, Oregon on April 12, 1990. She was a longtime Lovelock resident and had lived in Oregon near her family for the past several years. She was born on June 23, 1902 and was 87 years of age at the time of her death. She was a member of Ruth chapter No. 11 of Eastern Star and had served as Grand matron of the Lovelock Lodge.
        Merle was preceded in death by her husband, Adam in 1974 and by a step-son, Paul in 1965.

    Myrle Rose Memorial
        A Memorial Service was held for Myrle Rose at Lone Mountain Cemetery on September 24, 1990. Many of Myrle's family and friends attended the memorial which was officiated by her grandson Reverend Shane Broady with a touching poem and picture read by Shawna Broady. A Buffet was hosted by Glenn and Virginia Rose at their home after the memorial.

GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Terwilligars Observe Golden Wedding Here
Amid a large group of friends and relatives, including both grandchildren and great grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Terwilligar celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Terwilligar, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs S.B. Terwilligar were married near Moorehead Iowa, November 5, 1882.
Among those present were a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Craig, of Walla Walla, and a granddaughter Miss [Mrs.] Irene Puett, of Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Terwilligar received many presents as well as a long distance telephone call from friends in the East who expressed their regrets that the distance did not permit them to attend the event.

Stephen B. Terwilligar Buried Here Friday
Funeral services were held Friday for Stephen B. Terwilligar, who died at his home here Thursday. Rev. B. Stanley Moore officiated.
Mr. Terwilligar was born in Canada where he lived for several years, later moving to Iowa where at the age of 25 he married Mina A. Clark. In 1919 he moved to Ontario where he has spent the last 17 years of his life.
He is survived by his widow and three children, Sara Glenn of Ontario, Mrs. Adam Rose of Winnemucca, Nevada, and Harry C. Terwilligar [of] Bend, and five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Harry Terwilliger
        Harry Clark Terwilliger, a former Prineville resident, died Sept. 15, 1996, at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend. He was 92. At his request, no service was held.
        Mr. Terwilliger was born Aug. 2, 1904, in a log house his father built in Cove, Minn. Steven Bull and Mina Augusta (Clark) Terwilliger were his parents. Mr. Terwilliger moved to Oregon with his family in 1910. They lived in Ontario until 1923, then moved to Bend. He married Helen Rebecca Sumner in Bend in May, 1925.
        He worked as a grocer in Bend, Redmond and Prineville for the McMarr Grocery Stores, which later became Safeway. He worked for Art and Sylvain Michel in Prineville. Mr. Terwilliger and his wife bought the Greenwood Grocery in Bend in 1936. They sold it in 1955.
Helen Terwilliger died in 1967. Mr. Terwilliger married Laura (Segehdahl) in 1969, and they lived in Prineville until May, 1995, when they move to Bend.
        He was actively involved in numerous civic organizations, including the Odd Fellows, Elks and Rotary. He also bowled on the senior league in Prineville.
        He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Jo and Jack Rhoden and Peggy and Gerald Jaques, all of Prineville; step-children Ivan Segerdahl of Aloha and Karen Gray of Richland, Wash.; nephew Robert K. Moody, LaGrande; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of choice.

Funeral Service Held For Former Resident
Funeral services for Mrs. S. B. Terwilligar, 77, former long-time resident of Ontario, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Peterson funeral home with the Rev. Fred McConnelee officiating, and burial was in the Ontario cemetery.
Tre. Terwilliger was born Mina Clark in Lena, Illinois, March 5, 1864. She married S. B. Terwilliger in 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Terwilliger lived at the home of a daughter, Myrl Rose, in Lovelock, Nevada at the time of her death.
Surviving relatives are three children, Harry Terwilliger, Bend; Sara Loveland, Klamath Falls; and Myrl Rose, Lovelock; two brothers, George Clark, Portland; and Will Clark, Seaside, California; three sisters, Sada Landingham, Cleveland, Ohio; Rachel Griffith, Minnesota; and Elizabeth Canfield, Ontario; five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Sara Loveland
Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Loveland, 79 of 722 Dakota Ave., Medford, who died Friday, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Chapel in the Trees Mortuary, in Siskiyou Memorial Park. The Rev. John O. Reynolds of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Medford, will officiate. Private interment will follow in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
    Mrs Loveland was bor Oct. 18, 1887 in Harrison County, Iowa. On Oct. 28, 1939, at Goldendale, Wash. she married Clyde W. Loveland, who preceded her in death May 13, 1963. She had been a resident of Oregon for 45 years, and a resident of this community for the past five years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Robert Puett, Medford; one brother, H. C. Terwilligar, Bend; one sister, Mrs. A. E. Rose, Lovelock, Nev.; a step-son, Clyde O. Loveland, Portland; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Siskiyou Funeral Service, directors of Chapel in the Trees Mortuary.
