DESCRIPTION

The Precedent Maps, the enlargement of Dominy’s Point, to bring to the eyes of the viewer the location of the original home; also the map of Long Island, New York, to show the exactness, as to East Hampton, that the Ohio Branch of the Dominy family are from the original Dominie’s, are a work of art.

These drawings were made from a pencil sketch — drawn by Nathaniel Middlemas Dominy, 53 Birchwood Street, West Roxbury, Massachusetts, on the 19th day of August 1952, when he, his wife Doris, and his father, Charley, visited us to attend our Dominy Family Reunion.

I sent those pencil sketches to our grandchildren, Pat and Bob, who live in San Francisco, California, so they could make copies for printer’s plates. Pat is a draftsman and Bob, a professional artist, specializing in commercial art.

Words can not express my appreciation to Nat, Pat and Bob for what they did for me — in recreating the establishment of our early ancestral home, which should be highly appreciated by the present, and all coming generations of the Dominy Family.
