Alvin, son of Jeremiah and Abigail (Norton) Dominy, and his brother Almond were the first set of twins to be born in the family, which tradition has been frequently repeated from the second generation down to the present time.

His farm of 150 acres is located in Section 3454 Darby Township, he being one of the county's most influential farmers of that day, also one of the leading stock raisers and buyers in the county.

He held several township offices, and was highly regarded by his fellow townsmen as being strictly honest and efficient in the duties to which he was elected.

Charles B. was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Smith, one of the county's leading agriculturalists, bankers, and business men of Plain City, Ohio.

After his marriage to Melissa, they occupied his father's old home farm until about the death of his wife. He had a closing out sale removing to Plain City, and later he made his home in Columbus, Ohio.

MILITARY SERVICE:- Enlisted in the United States Marines on July 6, 1918, served with the 147th Company, Signal Battalion, attached to the 10th Regiment, which was stationed at League Island, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was honorably discharged, June 6, 1919.

MILITARY SERVICE:- Enlisted in the United States Air Force, on October 1,1946 at Mather Field, Sacramento, California. Served several months at Wheeler's Field, Island of Oahu, territory of Hawaii. Came home with a S/S rating.

Also served about one and a half years on Okinawa near Naha, there was made a T/Snow at the International Air Field, attached to the National Guard in Portland, Oregon.

MILITARY SERVICE: Of their two sons, WILLIAM H. JR. in the United States Marines, entered the service September 5, 1943. Had boot training at Paris island, came home for a 10 day furlough, in November went to marine camp in Dunedin, Florida, then to Oceanside, California, in June left for Pearl Harbor; Hawaii.

Was in the following battles: Eniwetok, Saipan, Tingon, on to Iwo Jima on February 19 was still there when the war ended, was sent back to Guam, to Hawaii, on to Oceanside, California, discharged, then home to Columbus, Ohio, February 23, 1946.

DECORATIONS AND CITATIONS:-Corporal Bill as he was called. Good Conduct Medal, Markmanship Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Campaign Ribbons with Battle stars.

After a vacation rest-up he entered Capital University. By taking summer courses, he graduated in three years.

HARRY T. joined the United States Marine Corps September 9,1944 at Paris Island. He had training at Camp Lejeune North Carolina, and Camp Pendleton, California.

On March 9, 1945 left for Guam, then to the battle of Okinawa campaign, then came back to Guam, then to Tsingtao, China, there participated in sport events after the war was over.

On July 23, 1946 back to San Diego, California, discharged, home to Columbus, Ohio, a private first class. Later he joined the Army Air Corps Reserves at Lockbourne Air Base, and is now a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force.

DECORATIONS AND CITATIONS:- Good Conduct Medal, Markmanship Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Campaign Ribbons with Battle Stars.

A graduate of Ohio State University, he is now a Physical Education Teacher and Coach at East High School of Columbus, Ohio. 1952.

Arch resided in the homestead of his wife's mother, "Aunt Louisa" as she was known and loved by all, where he reared his family. He was one of the most influential citizens in his community - highly respected by all! After the death of his wife and her mother, he removed his family to Plain City, Ohio, retiring from active duties, living beyond the age "Three score and Ten".

Anna May born in Canaan Township, Madison County, Ohio, graduated from the Plain City High School in 1902, and Ohio State University with a B.A. degree in 1906. She was principal of the West Jefferson High School for three years- taught History and Civics in the Troy High School, but gave up teaching, getting married to look after grandmother Louisa H. Dominy who died in 1916.

She is a member and Honorary Past Regent of Buford Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution; President Regent of Sarage Grant Chapter of Daughters of the American Colonists, by virtue of being a descendant of Governor Thomas Hinckley of Massachusetts.

She also is an active member of the Huntington Womans Club and has held various offices in that association; also of the American Association of University Women; also of the Congregational Church in Huntington.

William T., her husband, has a B.A. degree from Alfred University, Alfred, New York; and a M.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin. For eight years he was in the Budget Commissioners office as acting Budget Commissioner of Ohio, then as Budget Commissioner.

He came to Huntington, West Virginia in 1920, as Manager of a Glass company, also was purchasing agent for the Armstrong Electric Company for a number of years. During World War Two he taught mathematics in the high school, retiring at sixty-five.

Louisa Catherine, was born in Canaan Township, Madison County, Ohio and educated in the county school. At the age of six years she began taking lessons on the piano, continuing with good teachers for years. She took a course in music at Ohio Northern University, Ada, Ohio, and later at the Sherwood School of Music, Chicago, Illinois, teaching music from 1894 until her death in 1915.

Her married life was spent in West Jefferson and Columbus. She was an active member of her church and various clubs, one being the Columbus Music Club.

Her husband taught school for a number of years and later was in real estate in Columbus, Ohio.
